Starter Motor Operation
When activated (via button or key), an electrical signal is sent to the starter solenoid, which transfers power from the battery to the starter motor. This activates the starter drive (Bendix gear system), engaging the engine’s flywheel. The starter motor cranks the engine to initiate combustion. Once running, the mechanism disengages the starter from the flywheel as the engine no longer requires the starter’s assistance.
